‍Who We Are

Auckland City Mission – Te Tāpui Atawhai provides an adult residential, socially supported alcohol and other drug withdrawal programme.
The model of care is delivered by drug and alcohol practitioners, peer support and support workers, offering comprehensive assessment, 24/7 residential support, structured group work, and aftercare.

Our Accommodation

• 15 beds for clients of all genders
• Private rooms with ensuites

Duration of Stay

• Typical length of stay: 1–2 weeks (flexible)

What We Offer

• Comprehensive assessment and 24/7 residential support
• Group work (psychoeducation, relapse prevention, SMART Recovery and 12-step groups)
• Relaxing and creative activities: journalling, vision boards, karaoke
• Gentle exercise, yoga and supervised walks (on-site gym)
• Information sessions from AOD rehabilitation providers
• Aftercare (supported transition planning, peer support, ongoing connection to community services)
