Who We Are

Dual Diagnosis is a specialist service for people adversely affected by substance use and mental illness. It provides Alcohol and Drug treatment for clients engaged with Mental Health services who are experiencing co-existing challenges related to substance use. The service works collaboratively with inpatient and outpatient mental health teams.

North Shore, South, Central, and West Auckland.

What We Offer

•        Assessment of people’s use of substances and the associated impacts.

•        Collaborative work with individuals and their support people to improve quality of life.

•        Partnership with inpatient mental health teams or CMHC clinicians and psychiatrists.

•        Personalised outreach support for alcohol and drug concerns, tailored to the individual's needs.

Eligibility:

•        Must be engaged with Mental Health Services in Auckland.

•        Axis 1 Mental Health diagnosis.

•        Experiencing challenges with alcohol or other drug use.

•        Co-existing problems impacting functioning to a degree that outreach support is required.

 

Referral Pathway:Referral must come from the person’s Mental Health Team.
