Who We Are

Care NZ provides accessible, community-based alcohol and other drug support for adults experiencing substance-related harm. Our clinicians and peer workers offer assessment, counselling, education, and practical support to help tāngata whai ora and their whānau move toward positive, sustainable change.

Our Service

Non-residential community alcohol and other drug services for adults 18+

Duration of Engagement

Engagement length varies depending on individual need, goals, and intervention type. Support may range from brief intervention to longer-term counselling and group participation.

What We Offer

Structured community-based AOD support including:

• Individual counselling (CBT, MI)
• Group programmes (psychoeducation, relapse prevention, skills development)
• Whānau engagement and support
• Peer support and mobile outreach
• Harm reduction, education, and practical support
• Coordination with community and health services
