Who We Are
Kōkiri Hāpori is a free community based alcohol and drug assessment and consultation service, delivered within a kaupapa Māori framework.
Our programme aims to provide whānau with advice, information and support that will help recognise and address alcohol and/or drug problems.

What We Offer
Our programme is based on Kaupapa Māori models of care.
- Group sessions – meeting others in recovery
- One-on-one counselling
- Family/whānau support
- Cultural support – Māori or Pasifika models
- Help with work skills or study
- Support when leaving the programme

How to Join Us
Self-referral via the Henderson based office, via the website, referral by a whānau member, referral by a doctor or nurse, community services, Te Whatu Ora, or the court.
Who We Support / Eligibility
We support individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Aged 13+
- Experiencing challenges with alcohol or other drug use
- Motivated to make positive changes
- Must live in West Auckland (Waitematā region)
Please note, the service may not be suitable for individuals who:
- Have acute unmanaged mental health needs requiring specialist care
- Present an immediate risk to themselves or others
- Require medical detoxification prior to residential treatment
- Need support that falls outside the service capacity, such as intensive physical health needs
